Deep
down inside we all have dreams. Some of us know what they are yet worry they
may never come true. Others have dared “to believe” like the
familiar song says, ‘Dream on, dream on, dream it till your dreams come
true,’ yet have seen no results. Dreams will NOT manifest until...
THE MIND IS TRANSFORMED.
We
can dream and believe until the cows come home but things will not happen until
the transformation of the mind occurs. You do not have to continue to spin on a
hamster wheel; you are powerful! According to dictionary.com ‘transformation’ means a change
in form, appearance, nature, or character.
Form is the
shape and structure of an object or the essence of something. Appearance
is the way that someone or something looks. Nature
refers to a person’s essence or disposition. Character describes
a person's attributes, traits, or abilities. Imagine what life would be like if
you changed your form, appearance, nature and character….. If
you are not happy then realize this is a sign that you need transformation.
Insanity is doing the same thing day after day but expecting different results.
Transformation comes through two channels – you must change both thoughts and
behaviors. If a butterfly comes out of the cocoon to early it is able to pollinate the flowers one time and then it looses strength and dies. It does not live as the beautiful butterfly was meant to live. It must come to complete transformation to have the strength to stay alive and fulfill it's purpose. To create a perfect insect, a moth has to force its way through the neck of a cocoon with hours and hours of intense struggle. The pressure is what gives life to his wings. If he does not undergo the pressure and come out too early his wings will not be developed and he will die. Just like these insects, we must go through the transformation process to see our dreams come true. Sometimes we try to lessen that pressure for ourselves or others. When we attempt to lessen the pressure for others it is called enabling. When we enable people it is like cutting the moth out of the cocoon too early and setting him up to die as he will have no strength of his own to fly. A thinking change and a behavioral change is necessary for transformation. If a person wants to loose weight they not only have to go to the gym, change their food intake and possible get a nutritionist to help them but they will have to talk themselves into getting out of bed. They will have to talk themselves into getting in the car and heading to the gym. They need to talk themselves into going back, day after day until their body is transformed. During the transformation process,if you come across lies that you are believing: 1. Dispute the lie 2. Replace it with the truth 3. Continue to say the truth until you believe it. Example 1: Lie: I am worthless. Why should I loose weight? It wont matter anyways. Truth: I am worth it. I deserve to be thinner. I will feel good about myself. Repeat it until you believe it. Example 2: Lie: Why should I transform? No one will care about me anyways. Truth: I am lovable. I am going to do it for myself. I deserve it. Repeat it until you believe it.
